After supporting 3 workers diagnosed with cancer and kidney failure to set up crowdfunding campaigns for their treatment and living expenses last year, I witnessed their heartbreaking struggles of not being able to afford medical costs, despite years of hard work building our offices and caring for our families.
This exposed me to a wider issue, which is that their current compulsory mandatory insurance does not cover the costs of critical illness treatment.
So I am trying to raise $5,000 to contribute to this Fund, in hopes that it will setup a longer-term way for such workers to receive assistance, through the help of fellow Singaporeans. Hopefully in the longer term, insurance agencies will feel compelled to expand coverage to this group of unsung heroes.
I appeal to your kindness to donate what you can – every dollar counts!
Sincerely,
Vincent
