We are so grateful for all the wonderful experiences and memories made in our current Kampung Kampus location. We have done so much and made so many strides in our mission here, and we could not have done it on our own. The earnest effort and precious contributions of our staff, volunteers, friends, partners and supporters all have helped us to build and grow a place for people from all walks of life in Singapore to reconnect to the earth, and learn what true kampung spirit really is.
And now that our lease here in Lorong Chencharu will be ending, we hope you will join GUI to celebrate this wonderful space one last time in The Moving Concert, a two-day musical and activity-filled extravaganza featuring three meaningfully themed concerts: “Together (聚)”, “Friendship (友)” and “Love (爱)”, and a host of Saturday Kampung activities.
We are proud to have brought together the most special group of local artists, including exquisite singer-songwriters such as Boon Hui Lu（文慧如）, Wysom Wong, Wilson Huang, captivating performers like The Etc, Karyn Wong（诗敏）, Yazers（乐者）, and DJs from radio station HaoFM 96.3 to showcase their talents and live performances!
All proceeds will fund the relocation of GUI from Lorong Chencharu to the new Khatib campus. While there is much to rebuild and reestablish due to the move, we know our community and values of innovation, resilience and grounded leadership are our greatest resources. We are thankful for all of the support we receive to continue to build a humane and sustainable future at our new location. So for the very last time, let us celebrate our beloved kampung, before we embark on another exciting journey by the end of 2024!

Wysom Wong
A Singaporean singer-songwriter, who enchants the audience with his soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Primarily performing Mandopop and Cantopop favourites, Wysom’s silky voice, mesmerizing stage presence and musicality transcends boundaries, weaving tales of love and longing that resonate deeply with listeners.
Ravi and Ria
Play classic Hindi tunes delightfully, with Ravi performing magical and enchanting melodies on his flute while Ria belts out soulful vocals and weaves beautiful harmony on the keyboard. Together they recreate the timeless pieces of the most memorable and well-loved music in the World of Bollywood.
Eugene Seah
Eugene Seah aka wandersong.music – is a GUI volunteer and a community artist who loves to share his musical joy through songs and his guitar playing. Eugene performs in an indie folk style, with his soothing and gentle voice, his melodies warm and nourish the souls of all who listen.
Karyn Wong
Karyn Wong 诗敏 (@iamnotagirl) is a multi-talented musician, a busker, a DJ, emcee and actress extraordinaire who loves to sing and spread joy through her performances. Her sweet vocals and keyboard playing breathe life into popular evergreen songs in Mandarin and English. Her music will surely brighten up your day.
YAZERS
YAZERS 乐者 – comprises of 20 over members, perfoming as a choir and acapella group. They started their journey in 2013, and has since won many supporters and fans. YAZERS aims to ‘touch every heart with hope and positivity through music’. Led by composer- conductor, and educator, Albert Tay, they perform musical pieces beautifully across various genres.

The ETC
闲杂人等 The ETC – was co-founded by Tong Yu Xuan (deceased), Joey Wee and Tristan Ong in 2016. To date, the duo continues their (busking shows and performs in weddings, corporate anniversaries and events organized by Community Clubs (CC) and Residents’ Committees (RC). The ETC gains another new wave of popularity when they participated and won the Championship in the Busking Award 2023 “游走的歌王”, organised by MediacorpTV8.
Boon Hui Lu
文慧如Boon Hui Lu – started writing songs in 2014, she has won song writing awards in National Environment Agency’s Eco Music Challenge and the National Talent Competition: Impresario. In 2017, Boon participated in the ‘Taiwan Hopestar’ talent show which shot her to stardom outside Singapore. Boon then released her first album on 4 January 2019, titled “Honestly Me” and 2nd album, titled “RESET” in 2022
Wilson Huang
Wilson is a local singer-songwriter. In his 10 years of music making, Wilson has prided himself on bringing joy and laughter to his audience, accompanied by his voice as he play and sing. He believes that music heals, and he hopes to one day bring his songs around the globe for more people to hear his voice and stories.

Tickets purchased for the fundraising concert are non-refundable.

This is to support Ground-Up Initiative’s Big Move 2024, as our kampung is facing an exciting though major relocation to a new site by the end of 2024.

The concert will take place in the kampung itself! Located at 91 Lorong Chencharu S(769201) (10 mins walk from Khatib MRT station).
